Agreement – This collective agreement between the Union and the University 30.1 This agreement will enter into force on 1 July 2017 and will remain in force until 30 June 2019. When this agreement expires while negotiations between the parties for a successor agreement are under way, the terms of this agreement remain in effect until a successor agreement enters into force or on June 30, 2020, if that date is earlier. Subsequently, the university can apply the law unilaterally. E. Meal times can be waived by written appointment between the staff member and the supervisor.

The parties can, by mutual agreement, consolidate claims arising from the same facts. A. This agreement constitutes the whole agreement between the university and the Union and provides, unless it is repealed by law, the unique and exclusive wages, hours and working conditions for workers covered by this agreement. All previous agreements, past practices, academic work practices and previous agreements between the parties prior to July 1, 2009, either in writing or orally, are null and void unless expressly respected in this agreement. B. When a worker is entitled to a period of compensation under Article 6.3.A, he may benefit from a compensation period of up to one hundred and twenty (120) hours, which can be paid at any time during the year. The compensation period accumulated at the end of each fiscal year is paid by the university within thirty (30) days following the end of the year (30 June) in the absence of an agreement on the use of staff. B. When recruiting a position in a bargaining unit, the university makes available to each staff member a printed copy of the agreement and the affiliate material provided by the Union.

The university will also provide a copy of a fact sheet containing collective agreements and contact information.
